Meet Dr. Elaine Hernandez, Assistant Governor in D5930 South Texas

Dr. Elaine Hernandez currently is an Assistant Governor in D5930 South Texas and has been selected to serve as District Governor in 2025-2026. Starting in July, Elaine will also become the District International Service Chair (DISC) for her district.  She is currently serving in Ukraine as the M.E.A.L. Specialist with the Baptist World Aid on a World Vision funded project to provide emergency feeding (hot meals and food kits) and cash transfers to IDPs in Kyiv, Dnipro, and Lviv.  She is also heading up another short term project on emergency feeding in Kharkiv and Poltava, an area of constant conflict. She earned a Master's degree in Adult Education from the University of Toronto, a Master's Degree in Public Health from Texas A&M University, and a PhD in Leadership from Our Lady of the Lake University San Antonio. Today Elaine will talk about a global grant opportunity to support palliative and rehabilitation care in Lviv, Ukraine.
